AUGUSTA, Ga. – Clayton State junior guard
Kietta Saunders (Chicago, Ill.) has been named to the 2017-18 Peach Belt Conference Women's Basketball All-Academic Team as announced by the league on Wednesday, February 23.
Saunders is currently majoring in Marketing with a 3.43 GPA and is the third Laker women's basketball player to be so recognized in program history. She joins
DaQuenna Moore (2015-16) and
Tania Boucand (2014-15) as previous honorees.

In order to qualify for the Academic All-Conference Team, student-athletes must have been at their institution for one calendar year, have achieved a cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.30 or higher on a 4.0 scale and competed in at least 50-percent of their sport as a significant contributor. The GPA is calculated through the previous semester.

The Peach Belt Conference Basketball Academic All-Conference Teams are released near the close of the regular season each year and prior to the conference championship. Clayton State women's basketball is back in action on Saturday, February 24 when they head to Columbus State for a 1:30 p.m. tip-off.
