EMERSON, Ga. – In what has become a regular occurrence, sophomore
Nia Elmore (Hinesville, Ga.) broke two of her own records, this time as Clayton State women's track & field saw action in a total of 12 events at the Dunamis Super Meet in Emerson, Georgia on Friday, February 9. It was the first indoor meet held in the State of Georgia since the United States Track & Field (USTAF) Championship was held from March 2-3, 2001.
Elmore took down records for the sixth time in four meets this season as she broke her own 60-meter mark with preliminary time of 7.90 before shattering it in the finals with a mark of 7.79. The latter performance led to a 5-of-35 finish in the 60-meters. She also added a strong performance in the 200-meters coming in at 10-of-45 (26.17). Fellow sophomore
Jasmine Radford (Lawrenceville, Ga.) added a 16-of-45 outing in that same event with a time of 26.55.
