MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Competing for the first time in nearly two weeks, Clayton State men's cross country posted a 7-of-13 finish at the 8k Bobcat Invitational on Friday, October 6. They finished the day with 186 points.

T.J. Witherspoon (Thomasville, Ga.) led the Lakers for the third time in four meets as he delivered a 28-of-117 outing with a time of 27:57.10. Right behind him was sophomore
Keldren Reddick (Thomasville, Ga.) in 29
th with a time of 27:58.60.

Evan Ortiz (McDonough, Ga.) was 47
th at 28:49.40 with freshman
Zach Czerniak (Suwanee, Ga.) rounding out the top performers in 58
th. He finished with a time of 29:39.40.

Augusta took top team honors with just 19 points and was followed in the top five by Georgia College (51), Emmanuel (102), Valdosta State (126) and Berry (137).

Clayton State is now off until the 2017 Peach Belt Conference Championships on Saturday, October 21.The Championships will be held in Fort Benning, Georgia and are set for a 10:15 a.m. start.
