Gee named PBC Men's Golfer of the Week

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference announced today that Clayton State freshman Henry Gee was selected as the Men's Golfer of the Week.  The Hiram, Ga. native finished in second place at the 17-team AFLAC Cougar Invitational in Columbus.

The freshman – playing in his first collegiate tournament – fired rounds of 70-64-72 to finish at seven-under-par 206 at the Country Club of Columbus.  His second-round 64 is the second in the league this season and tied for the fifth-lowest round shot in PBC history.

Gee finished the tournament three strokes behind Florida Southern's John Coultas; the field featured five teams ranked in the Top 25.  With his efforts, Gee now leads the PBC with a 68.7 stroke average.
