Azcue begins his first season as a graduate assistant coach for the cross country Lakers. Azcue worked with the middle distance runners during the 2014 indoor and outdoor track seasons.

The former Laker was a two-time NCAA Division II All-American 800m runner in 2013, finishing runner-up at the indoor championships in Birmingham, Ala. and 8th at the outdoor championships in Pueblo, Colo. He was also the Peach Belt Conference champ in the outdoor 800m and was an All-Region selection during indoor and outdoor.
